Here’s a sample of what the Sun City Festival locals have to say:
Q: What do you like about Del Webb versus other active adult builders?
A: We have built 3 homes in AZ. Our Sun City Festival home is well built and comfortable. Buying was without pressure, closing was easy, design experience was actually fun and we do feel as if we have a well built home. Small items were promptly taken care of after our move in, and I can say that we are very satisfied. I like having a pristine pool and a great gym which was a draw for us. I like how well the grounds are kept and the golf course is awesome.
Q: Are there evening activities for people who work?
A: Yes. The pool and gym are open until 10pm. Many clubs offer evening activities. Some examples: Barrel Buddies – this wine tasting group holds 2 events in members’ homes each month as well as at outside venues. Evening Craft Classes are also available as well as Pool Parties and Concerts in the Park. Saturday morning and Monday, Tuesday and Thursday (6:30PM) Pickleball is available. Meeting new people at happy hour is simple – just show up! Selections for entertainment are endless.
Q: How do you like living in Sun City Festival?
A: Moving to Sun City Festival is the best move we have ever made. We have already made more friends at Festival than we had in our previous home where we lived for 11 years. It’s nice to be in a place where everyone you meet is welcoming and wanting to make new friends. People moving here are doing so permanently, and I think that makes a big difference.
Q: Is the community pet friendly?
A: Sun City Festival is pet friendly. Many of our friends and neighbors have dogs. There are parks that you can take your dog to, however, they do have to be leashed. I walk my dog at Festival up to the green belt etc. and she also enjoys the rides on our golf cart. Being “doggy litter savvy” is followed by most everyone – we all want to keep our community nice and tidy.
Q: How long can children or grandchildren stay?
A: Children and grandchildren under the age of 19 are allowed to stay 90 days.
